Let’s get something straight

We’re not here to build the “future of marketing.”
We’re not launching another shiny website, another newsletter with the “Top 5 tactics of 2026,” or a Notion template you’ll forget to open.

We’re here because marketing is broken — and pretending it’s not isn’t helping.

The Vanity Marketing is a media platform created by Marion Zoé (her LinkedIn) — a strategist who spent over a decade working in growth, brand, and product across tech, culture, and design. She’s co-launched startups, scaled international campaigns, and sat in far too many meetings where everyone nodded at metrics that meant absolutely nothing.

This is where she stops nodding.
And starts asking better questions — with the people who still care.

What we believe

  • Marketing isn’t a deck. It’s a conversation.
  • Good strategy is often invisible — but never accidental.
  • Buzzwords age faster than bananas.
  • If it looks perfect, it probably didn’t work.

What you’ll find here

Every conversation we publish starts with a real person — not a content calendar.
We interview marketers, founders, creatives, sales folks, developers — anyone who has something useful (and real) to say about how marketing actually works.
What they’ve learned. What they regret. What they’re done pretending about.

Where we’re starting

This week, we’re attending Web Summit Lisbon — not to network politely, but to go hunting:

  • For the latest marketing theatre
  • For the recycled frameworks disguised as innovation
  • For the people who dare to say: “That thing everyone’s doing? We tried it. It didn’t work.”

Expect audio, transcripts, short takes, long rants, and unpopular insights.
From marketers — and those who work with them.

This is not another media for marketers.
It’s a space for those who want to make sense of it all. And maybe — just maybe — make something better.

Subscribe.
Skim.
Argue.
Steal ideas.
We’re not precious.

Just honest.
